The Better Homes Kingston Program makes it easier for Kingston homeowners to improve energy efficiency, reduce utility bills, and create a more comfortable, climate-friendly home—all through a simple, streamlined application process.

As a Kingston resident, you can access zero-interest loans of up to $40,000 for qualifying home energy upgrades. This includes improvements such as insulation, high-efficiency windows and doors, air sealing, heat pumps, solar panels, and more. Even better—you can receive up to 30% of the loan amount upfront to help pay contractors and start your project sooner.

This program is part of the Government of Canada’s Green Municipal Fund, delivered through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), and is designed to help homeowners take meaningful steps toward reducing energy use and greenhouse gas emissions.
